Here at Dy-mensionscreen we can print from 40 to an unlimited amount of garments, spot colour to halftone prints, up to 8 colours, anything regarding print… we can do it right here.

When it comes to screen printing some clients don’t understand the procedure but in fact it’s a very simple step by step process. The basic rule is “each colour in your design requires a screen”. Your artwork gets separated into its different layers of colour which is then printed onto transparent film.

The film is then gets placed on a screen which is covered in UV light sensitive emulsion. Next the film with the artwork gets exposed onto the screen using a very high powered light box. After this process you take the screen to the wash room were the exposed design gets removed from the screen so the ink can pass through to the garment. Next the job is to set up using our 7 colour fully automatic M&R Challenger press. Each screen is loaded into its dock and registered so that each colour from the artwork lines up perfectly.

This process has to be done for every colour on the artwork.

The t-shirt is loaded onto the press and held in place with spray adhesive. As the press rotates, the t-shirt moves from screen to screen were the ink is forced through the screen with a squeegee.

After each colour is printed, the t-shirt is removed from the press and passed through a dryer. We can print up to 7 colours with a size of 17 x 19″. We can print on any part of the garment, that isn’t an issue. We can also print halftone prints as you can see from the examples below.

For each colour in your artwork a film is needed to be printed, printing of film is charged at £8.50 per film (for designs up to 12″x12″) & £10.00 per film (for designs up to 16″x19″). This is a one off charge, and not payable on repeat orders of the same design. Also for each colour in your artwork a screen is needed to be created, the creation of a screen is £25.00 per screen, these screens expire after 3 months, however if a repeat print is done within the 3 months time frame there will be no charge for screens.

Printing On Black/Coloured Garments

When printing on Black/Coloured shirts a flash white is needed, this flash white is what makes your artwork stand out and make the colours vibrant and bright, this also stops the design going dull and also stops the dye of the garment come though on the design. This does require an extra screen and film. For example printing a green and red design on a black shirt would be (flash white, green, red) this would be classified as a 3 colour print as you need the flash, were as for printing on white shirts would be (green, red) and this would be classified as a 2 colour print.
