Think of the environment when ordering your clothing, we recommend you use the continental clothing organic products to reduce environmental impact…

Organic clothing is manufactured using organic cotton, which is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment.

Unfortunately, not all ‘organic’ clothing carries a certification we know to be trustworthy, but many major organisations, such as the “Global Organic Textile Standard”, have developed a strict set of credentials which a company must meet to certify their product organic, and merit them to display the association logo. One such company is Continental, with their Earth Positive brand…

Earth Positive Apparel

Continental’s Earth Positive range is a true step forward in organic/fair-trade clothing, and is manufactured solely from renewable energy.

Global Organic Textile Standard

The Global Organic Textile Standard for organic textile covers the production, processing, manufacturing, packing, labelling, export, import and distribution, to ensure the organic status of textile from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and social responsible manufacturing up to labelling and supply, in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.

We offer both natural and colour reactive-dyed organic cotton garments, and to achieve organic certification only azo-free dyes that are permitted under the Global Organic Textile Standard are used.

Fair Trade

Under the Organic Standards, farmers and agricultural workers are protected by stringent social criteria, total traceability across the supply chain, and also by the ban on the use of poisonous pesticides which can severely damage the health of farmers and families. These standards also free poor farmers tied into third world debt to chemical companies on the ‘pesticide treadmill’.

The entire supply chain for Earth Positive Apparel is made transparent for independent audit by the Fairwear Foundation, which exists to promote fair labour conditions in the clothing industry.

No cotton from Uzbekistan is used in manufacture, where the use of forced child labour is widespread. The complete transparency of the manufacture and supply chain means this can be guaranteed.

Environmentally Friendly

Earthpositive is certified by the Oeko-Tex hundred standards, Class 1. The eco text standard is a guarantee of the safety of textiles and dyestuffs to human health and the environment. It also means we take more care in adopting environmentally friendly production methods throughout the manufacturing process.

Earthpositive Apparel is packaged in biodegradable PVC-free packaging, and in 100% recycled cardboard boxes.

Choosing Earthpositive Apparel is a practical and immediate solution for businesses to take direct action to combat climate change and address environmental, social and ethical issues in a comprehensive and meaningful way.
